I'm not sure how many of you Americans will remember a spectacularly good Brit band in the 70s called BeBop Deluxe.  I remember the first time I heard them which was when they showed up on the fabled Old Grey Whistle Test in 1975 playing, amongst other things, a track called Maid In Heaven (http://youtu.be/KLnrOiWoPuk) which I still have on 45 :-)

Anyway, their main man was Bill Nelson and after he withdrew from full time showbiz he started to record in his home studio and put out masses of material. He still does.

The point of all this is that I'm listening to a couple of his cds from 1996 - Weird Critters and Magnificent Dream People - which are just great.

Zappa : Hot Rats

I haven't listened to this in ages - I've kind of taken it for granted.  I don't think I've noticed before how interlinked the tunes are with little motifs and phrases recurring in variations throughout. Fabulous stuff

Kansas - Leftoverture and Point of Know Return. Two of their best albums, two of the best albums that I own. This is my third CD copy of Leftoverture. I bought them all on Ebay over the years and the first two skipped, each in different places. So far this third one's working out.

Storm Corrosion - Freakin' awesome record.

KC - Starless and Bible Black
